Extended Practicums with OGRS

If you are planning to apply for certification to Orton Gillingham Academy* or another certifying agency, you will need additional practicum hours. We offer the following option to earn more practicum hours.

*Orton Gillingham Academy requires that applications must be submitted to them within 12 months of starting your OG Training Cohort with OGRS.

Extended Practicum Program 1

Price: $600.00

Prerequisite: Orton Gillingham Training Cohort at Orton Gillingham Reading Specialists

Provides:

- - - - Up to 60 additional practicum hours.
      - Supervision and feedback from an OGRS Master Specialist.
      - Three (3) observations by Karen Sonday, OGA Fellow, including written and verbal feedback.
      - Coaching during your Orton Gillingham Academy, Associate Level certification application process.
      - Students to work with during the practicum.

Extended Practicum Program 2

Price – $800.00

Prerequisite – OGRS Extended Practicum 1 at Orton Gillingham Reading Specialists

Provides:

- - - - Up to 60 additional practicum hours.
      - Supervision and feedback from an OGRS Master Specialist.
      - Four (4) observations by Karen Sonday, OGA Fellow, including written and verbal feedback.
      - Coaching during your Orton Gillingham Academy, Associate Level certification application process.
      - Students to work with during the practicum.
