Training In Orton Gillingham
Our Orton Gillingham Training Programs focus on structured literacy approaches for teaching reading and language skills. The upcoming trainings include Level 1 and Level 2 courses, both available in Summer and Fall 2024, offering synchronous online coursework and practicum through OGRS. Everyone must begin with a Level 1 training.
The Level 1 course emphasizes effective instruction principles, dyslexia, phonemic awareness, and other foundational skills. In contrast, Level 2 delves into more advanced topics like syllabication and suffix rules. The courses include benefits like direct mentoring, a wide range of teaching materials, and the option for additional practicum hours.
All these training programs are structured to lead towards certification in the Orton-Gillingham approach. For more detailed information about certification and how these courses contribute to it, please click on the 'Learn More' button to the right.
